A SONNET FOR A BAMBOO
Bits of the past flooded my being;
seems like reminiscing became my game.
My heart seemed to be bleeding;
realizing nothing is the same.
The melody of what was once our anthem,
just simply lost its rhythm.
Could i still come to you and whisper
how much you mean to me and cry a river?
I suppose i don’t deserve your time
but may your heart forget my crime.
Now I’m begging you to please bare with me,
so that beyond my eyes, you’ll see;
my absence might have drew a huge distance
but I never learned to forget you even for an instance.
i miss you, kins!
i seek for your wisdom!
if there’s time
let’s cherish it together
like we’ll never see each other again…
KINSMEG
